Who is Tamara Lichtenstein?

She is a young photographer living in Houston, Texas. Tamara loves Ryan McGinley, Terry Richardson and Juergen Teller, is inspired by movies like “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “I’m Gonna Explode” and preferential works with analog film – because digital bores the hell out of her. And her dreamy, smooth and kinda fairytale works are not by chance, because she loves to let her sweeping thoughts and nocturnal dreams flow into it. So we should just make up our minds and follow Tamara into her beautiful, divine world.

Who is Firemane?

Fireman aka Anneli Olander is  a female illustrator, living in Stockholm, Sweden.

Born in 1981, she has been drawing since she got her first crayon in her hand at age two, in Storfors, Sweden. At age 15 she had her debut as a cartoonist in the magazine “Utsikt Mälardalen”. Same year she started drawing the comic “Julia” for the “Strängnäs Tidning”, a local magazine, and she continued drawing “Julia” until year 2000. Two years later she went to art school in Stockholm. After this she moved to Australia to study design and illustration at the University of Newcastle. Returning to Sweden in 2005, Anneli Olander went back to drawing comics. She created “Maja”, an appreciated comic strip about a singlewoman in midlife crisis which was published on a regular basis in the Swedish magazine “Södertälje Posten”.

In January 2007, Anneli Olander started her company A.Olander Illustration. After two months she had her first big client from USA. She mostly works with illustrations for magazines, apparel companies and book publishers, but is exploring the gallery world and dipping her toes in anything interesting she comes across. In 2008 she took part in the female project and exhibition in Italy – the Pink Attitude project. She’s also had art exhibitions in USA. Today Anneli lives in Stockholm and her clients are situated all over the globe.

The city district Amsterdam Osdorp recently merged with Slotervaart and Geuzenveld-Slotermeer and was given the name Amsterdam Nieuw-West. This change also meant the end of 20 years of restructuring urbanized areas. To celebrate everything achieved, a book was published. ‘The Metamorphosis of Osdorp’ gives an overview of the architectural highlights. PlusOne was asked to create an intriguing video.
