5 Th of august, Palais de Bahia.
I was really impressed how big and well preserved the palace was.
The Bahia Palace is a palace and a set of gardens located in Marrakech, Morocco. It was built in the late 19Th century, intended to be the greatest palace of its time. The name means ‘brilliance’. As in other buildings of the period in other countries, it was intended to capture the essence of the Islamic and Moroccan style. There is a 2 acre (8,000 m²) garden with rooms opening onto courtyards. Continue Reading

5th of august, and blessed with the weather. Luckily it was cloudy and not so hot.
The first place we visited that day was the Medersa Ben Youssef.
The Ben Youssef Madrasa was an Islamic college in Marrakech and was named after the amoravid sultan Ali ibn Yusuf (reigned 1106–1142), who expanded the city and its influence considerably. The college was founded during the period of the Marinid (14th century) by the Marinid sultan Abu al-Hassan and allied to the neighbouring Ben Yousssef Mosque. The building of the madrasa, as it is now, was (re-)constructed by the Saadian Sultan Abdallah al-Ghalib (1557–1574). It is the largest Medrasa in all of Morocco. Read more.

4 Th of august, we went to Agadir to visit my family. Luckily we had airconditioning in the car.
Agadir-Marrakech was a normal 3 hour trip by car. The way back was a crazy dangerous adventure, by night, a lots of traffic and dark mountains. I tell you, A verrrrry scary moment. After 5 hours We finally arrived at Marrakech. Like every big city the creeps comes out in the heat of the night. First we almost got ripped by a taxi driver. Than we accepted a bag from someone who asked us to give it to someone else down the street. Guess what? We returned the bag to the wrong person. Strange situation, I m still asking myself why we accepted a bag from someone we don’t know at 5 in the morning? We were tired, damn I was so happy we found our way back to the Riad.
For now, Enjoy! and I m coming back tomorrow with some cultural moments.
