From Belgium, a very nice music video for “Wanderland” by Hermanos Inglesos feat. MeMe. “Wanderland” is their new release.
The video is directed by Kristof Luyckx & Michèle Vanparys.
Who is Hermanos Inglesos?
The real Belgian life brothers Cedric and Didier Engels (Engels being the Dutch word for English, hence Hermanos Inglesos = English brothers, comprende?) feel best at home in their studio or behind a DJ-mixer, preferably in front of a frantic crowd, hungry for good times and exciting tunes.
In 2004 they won the Diesel-U-music awards
Culture Club (one of the most credible clubs in the world that also had 2manydjs and The Glimmers as residents) chose them ass residents in 2007 and they made 2 mix compilations for it.
Based on their first single “Mastermind” they were chosen “artist to watch out for in 2009” by Kissy Sell Out (BBC radio 1)
Their first single “Mastermind” got a big support by Tiga, Boris Dlugosh, Fake Blood, Kissy Sellout, Tommie Sunshine,…and many more

Yes, music from a Bonsai… First I tought WT…! A bonsai that produces music? impossible…
But this is what Diego Stocco did:
I always liked bonsai trees, and I was curious to try the approach I used for “Music from a Tree” on a smaller scale, so I bought a bonsai and recorded this little experimental piece.
To determine the key I used the lowest note I could play and recorded the rest around it.
Besides playing the leaves, I used bows of different sizes, a piano hammer and a paint brush.
As far as microphones I used my Røde NT6, a customized stethoscope and tiny MEAS piezo transducers.
I played all the sounds and rhythms only with the bonsai, I didn’t use any synthesizer or samplers to create or modify the sounds. I hope you’ll like it.
At this link you can see some pictures with more detailed descriptions.
Danay catch-ed my moment, really, her voice, how fly!
Danay was discovered by Giles Peterson when he travelled to Cuba to find unknown artists. She is mid twenties and from Havana.
She takes part of the Gilles Peterson project Havana Cultura.
Havana Cultura is a collaboration between Gilles Peterson and cuban unknow talented artists. The Havana Cultura CD is actually two CDs. The first disc contains the 12 original tracks Gilles recorded with his hand-picked “Havana Cultura Band,” led by pianist Roberto Fonseca. The CD features some outstanding guest appearances from Mayra Caridad Valdés, Ogguere, Danay, Francis Del Rio and Obsesión.
The second disc is a compilation of 16 previously released and unreleased tracks, drawing from more top Cuban talent: Los Aldéanos, Telmary, Yusa, Kelvis Ochoa, Doble Filo, Descemer Bueno, Gente de Zona, Harold Lopez Nussa, Kumar, Free Hole Negro, Cubanito 20.02, Wichy de Vedado and Tony Rodriguez. The CD packaging was designed by Alexandre Arrechea, one of Cuba’s brightest art stars.
This is what Gilles say about her: A remarkable new voice whom I met whilst interviewing artists for my BBC Radio 1 documentary. She played me some of her original songs and I immediately knew that she had to take part in this project. Lagrimas de
Soledad was the song from her demo’s that I loved the most and it is on this
where her work with Roberto is the most magical moment of the album.
