Nadia Oussehmine – ‘CYMo’ All round Artist
Occasionally I am asked where CYMO comes from.
Why Catch Your Moment?
The idea originated in 2006 during the 2 hardest weeks in my life.
Those 2 weeks were mainly:
- A moment of physical pain
- A moment of mental pain
- A moment with great emotion
- A moment of patience exercise
- A moment of perspective
- A moment where I realized that I live.
- A moment where I realized that my life hangs by a thread.
- A moment I realized how important my family and friends are.
- A moment I realized who my real friends are.
- A moment I realized how important moments are.
- A moment where I realized that I will cherish those moments.
With help of music, poetry, painting, film, I have survived these anxious weeks. After receiving a diagnose and I realized that it wasn’t the bad monster, I felt liberated and my toughts moved on. I found out that moments are important in life.
To nurture a moment was for me priority. It s not just the moment but the feelings you have during this time.
An artist creates a strong emotional feeling at a given moment, a feeling that you may never forget.
Sometimes, later, If you think of that artist (relisten to music, reread a book, admiring a paint,), you think back to that moment and almost relive the emotions again.
Inversely, if you look back to a moment, you mostly link the artist with an emotional state.
To catch: finds out, discover
A moment: short period of time
I want you to discover on CYMOblog moments with an emotional touch., created by art, music, paints, books …
Catching your moment,
Sincerely yours,
Nadia Oussehmine

Hey Nadia,
Het gaat je blijkbaar goed! Mooie blog met leuke foto’s. Ik wist dat je creatief was, maar zo creatief … dat wist ik nog niet. Hou je goed en nog veel plezier in het leven.
Groeten,
Wim
