Elena Kalis Photography

Elena Kalis was born in Moscow (Russia) and has lived for the past ten years on a small island in the Bahamas with her husband and two children.
She has an education in art, but has recently been following her interest in photography.
Over the past year she has been doing some underwater projects with her children and friends.
Some of her images have been used for book, magazine and CD covers, and have appeared in print magazines and online publications.

Lucía is the 1st short video of the 2-part series “Lucía, Luis y el lobo” (”Lucía, Luis and the Wolf”). Luis is the 2nd short video of the series “Lucía, Luis y el lobo” , it is a follow-up to the short video Lucía. The videos were shot frame by frame with a digital photo camera. Materials: charcoal, dirt, flowers, found objects and cardboard.

The 3 artists also created Diluvio gallery, an online exhibition space for the video works.  Included at Diluvio Gallery there is an online portfolio’s of each artists’ individual works. You can also find other information on the Diluvio website.
